What was the name of the greek god who abducted a girl who wasn't allowed to see him?

In the end, the girl's curiosity got the best of her, and she spilled candle wax on his chest after sneaking into his chambers. He then proceeded to kick her out of his house, saying that love could not dwell where there was no trust.

What was the name of the greek god who abducted a girl who wasn't allowed to see him?
Psyche and Eros.

eros the greek god

and phyche the woman=]

it's a nice story honestly.
Reply:His name was Eros.

The woman was Pysche

The goddess Aphrodite, jealous and envious of the beauty of a mortal woman named Psyche, asked her son, Eros, to use his golden arrows to cause Psyche to fall in love with the vilest creature on earth. Eros agreed but then fell in love with Psyche on his own.

Eros visited her every night to make love to her, but demanded that she never light any lamps, since he did not want her to know who he was.

But one night temptation overcame her and she gazed upon the God thus revealing him and betraying his trust.

Eventually, through perserverance and true love Psyche overcame all obstacles and the two were permitted to marry.
Reply:This is a very late and spurious myth. Roman writers made up stories, they did not believe in the Greek gods, they just used them like fairy tales.

It is Roman, not Greek. In the Greek Eros was a pre-Titan power.
