What is your favorite ancient greek female name?
Calliope (pronounced `CallyOpay') has always been a favorite of mine, the muse of heroic/epic verse but I also love Melpomene(MelPOmehNAY) the muse of tragedy and, always, Athena, a goddess who needs no introduction................she's just great.
I love all of them but Calliope is my favorite.
Reply:Daienera - she was Hercules' wife. I've seen it spelled a few different ways, but it sounds really pretty when you say it. Phonetically it's: DayEnErah.
Reply:I like Rhea (the daughter of Gaia the earth goddess and Ouranos the sky). I also like Persephone and Asia. I tried to find some lesser known ones for you ;)
